Clear browsing data with a keyboard shortcut
Ctrl+Shift+Delete opens Chrome's deletion dialog, but you still have to choose and confirm. ClearKit's Alt+Shift+C runs a preset you configured — data types, time range, whitelist and all — with no dialog at all, and can close every tab and open a fresh window in the same keystroke.
Doing it manually in Chrome
- 1Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Cmd+Shift+Delete on macOS).
- 2Wait for the Delete browsing data dialog to open.
- 3Choose the time range and tick the data types you want.
- 4Click Delete data and confirm.
Where the manual way falls short
- It is a shortcut to a dialog, not to a clean — four interactions later you are finally done.
- Nothing is remembered: no preset, no whitelist, and no way to close your tabs at the same time.
Doing it with ClearKit
- 1In ClearKit's settings, define the preset the panic shortcut should run.
- 2Optionally turn on "close all tabs and open a new window".
- 3Press Alt+Shift+C. It is already done.
